I did not realize that it was launch day. I may shoot one if I can find one, but I really like the feel of the Halon and Halon 32. The bow would have to beat them out as far as feel, plus since this will be a flagship this year probably a substantially different price point than "old technology" 1-2 year old bows.
My current bow is a mathews drenalin from like 2007, its a shooter but some of the new bows are way smother.

I shoot a older drenaline as well, 08 or 09 model. They redid the grip so it’s supposed to feel a lot better. I’ve always been a fan of Hoyt’s grips though. Looks like they copied the halon bus cables to. They hollowed out the riser as well to make it real lite so that’s a plus.

Lowered the grip, 80+ let off, and went back to a fixed roller guard. No thanks. These bow companies have been saving me a lot of money the last few years. I'd wait a while and see tests on the new cam system for issues before buying one. Lots of defiants had issues with the #2 cam when they first came out.

That’s my thoughts. I’m going to be getting a new be after the beginning of the year. I’ll prob pass on this new bow and go with a carbon defiant 34. But I’ll give the new one a shot. I like the idea of waiting a few seasons so they can get there bugs worked out.

Looks awesome!!!
I think Hoyt hit a homerun this year.
I'm impressed.
My favorites this year are hoyt and bear.

Prices and weight both went up. I thought the point of a carbon bow was to be lighter? The 35"ata Carbon is 4.1lbs and the shorter ones are 3.9lbs. The spyder aluminum models were lighter than that in 2013. Still not heavy but the carbon models are getting heavier every year.

Well made a few calls and the carbon defiant has been discontinued. Looks like I am going to be passing on the new hoyt bow. I found a shop that is selling last yrs carbon for a killer deal. Gonna be getting it this weekend. Carbon defiant 34 black out. Can’t wait!
