He's survived predators, bad winters, droughts, stumbling hunters, disease, probably some dicey road crossings during the rut and who knows what else. He's spread some seriously superior genes throughout his long life and fought like a prize fighter every single year to do so (good times). I'm of the opinion that this old gentleman/warrior dies on his terms, in his bed, reminiscing about how he defied the odds and did HIS thing for so many years.
Phenomenal Buck!! In my opinion one of your best. On a side note, just curious what is roughly the average distance you take pictures of these bucks? In most of your photos it seems the deer don't know your around.
