Bowhunting success so far
« on: November 03, 2017, 11:18:24 AM »
I thought I'd share a couple of pics from my bowhunting trip to Pa so far. Monday was opening day for the archery bear season, and my friend found himself only 10 yards away from this monster booboo when he let his arrow fly. A farmer who just happened to be out working in his fields was nice enough to put the beast in his bucket loader for us. The game commission estimated the live weight to have been about 539lbs. Another friend shot a 8 point buck with a 17 inch spread. He said a doe had to play the "foot stomping" game for about 15 minutes before finally walking off and bringing the buck out into the open.  The rut is just starting, and man he was stinking. As for me, I see bucks every day, but haven't seen anything I want yet.
