I may get trashed for this but i do hope they are caught. I don't agree with wolf reintroduction and i don't agree with hunters making their own decisions on what is poaching and what isn't.  To ethical sportsmen it is clear. If it is illegal to shoot, don't shoot.

These type of incidents make all hunters look bad.

What makes you think it's a hunter - and not a disgruntled rancher?

I didn't say it was a hunter. My point is, when the general public hears about poaching incidents they think bad hunters.

And to top it off in most states (including WA) when you look at the actual criminal charges someone is charged with for a poaching incident it isn't a "poaching" charge but rather "unlawful hunting" or along those lines.

That may be true, but the general public also thinks that guns are the cause of mass shootings, so............   :dunno:

Then general public don’t have a clue about the impact that wolves play in our hunting future.  The anti’s opinion will never change, the state’s support of the wolf won’t change until it’s too late.  I think guys who are willing to put these wolves down, care more about our hunting and wildlife than most!  I typed a bunch more, but figured I better erase it!  Flame on!

I'm seems to me that the folks of S. Ore are telling the odfw quite plainly that (in the words of a great philosopher) "homie don't play that"

These are the same people who took away hound hunting and bear baiting. You may not like the "general public" but peoples interactions with wildlife whether it be legal hunting or "poaching" does impact hunters as a whole. Simply saying F them will only cause more issues for hunters.

Actually it is a reflection of the fraud and corruption of the USFWS and state game agencies that promote wolves and then refuse to be honest in their management.

Talk to folks who live in the rural counties about wolves and most if not all have the SS attitude concerning wolves.

The BS line that it makes all hunters look bad is just that a BS line, no management of wolves is everyones problem now and public opinion has turned against them.

Washington is where ID, MT and Wyoming was when the truth of what wolves were really about became evident.

You might be able to BS the fans big tex, but not the players.

Drag yourself out of liberal Ville and mingle with the rural communities that have to deal with the reality of wolves, and your perspective will probably be altered to reflect the truth. :twocents:

Get in more trouble for shooting a wolf in this country. Bergdahl walked away from his post and got nothing for it

Instead of 5'000 reward, it should be 5,000 given for bounty. good for him hope he dosen't get caught
It's better to have a gun and not need it than to need one and not have it.                                                                             Local 66 sheetmetal workers
