The application is a general state wide tag good for muleys or whitetails.

Some miss information here.  If you don't get drawn for the general tag (used to be call "A" tag) use can still put in for a B tag anterless Mulie $80.00 which yes is still a draw.  Then after August you can get a OTC B anterless Whitetail tag $65.00.
For 2017 I did not get drawn for my general so I put in for my Mulie B tag which I received. Two days later I received a letter (don't no how long it was in my P.O. Box) It stated that there were 68 left over (returned) general tags and if I wanted one to resend my money that they already refunded to me.  I sent it off and received my general tag.  Then in August bought my B anterless whitetail tag.  So I ended up with three tags to fill.  Total cost was about $720.00 when I received my general tag they refunded the license portion of my Mulie B  tag.
