DUCK/GOOSE hunt trades ? hour drive from tacoma any direction?
« on: November 29, 2017, 01:41:34 PM »
I've got a lease on two fields in pierce county. We consistently shoot near limits of honkers and ducks. We're hunting in tilled up dirt fields in lay out blinds around roughly 80-100 full body decoys. pics below of from a few hunts the last couple years.

WHAT IM LOOKING FOR - potentially trade a hunt or two with another hunter or maximum of 2 hunters. The spot must be legit and hold a lot of birds.  I'm open to hunting fields or over water.  PM me if you're interested.

Just want to try something in a new area? Also does the place someone takes you have to be private or does it not matter?

Yea, just looking for some other opportunities to switch it up..especially if birds are in one place but not another, can coordinate with another group.  This really is just a one-for-one opp.  Not opposed to public land as long as its not a bunch of groups piled on top of each other sky busting and as long as it will be a good opportunity.

Just curious how you found the leases in pierce? I've been looking forever with no luck.

I wish I had something worth trading. About all I can offer is a shore hunt to try to get a Harlequin, but the guys in Skagit do better, I think.

We can soak crab pots too though.   ;)

Pierce county is EXTREMELY tough.  You pretty much have to be family or know someone well.  With so many hunters and so so few good hunting land. It's tough.  And on top of that, a lot of liberal, anti-hunting folks as well.
