I got this response from KXLY:

The information comes directly from the WA Dept of Fish and wildlife. More information here http://wdfw.wa.gov/conservation/gray_wolf/

WDFW Game Division Manager Anis Aoude said that the study was an internal report and not publishing it earlier was an oversight.

Does anyone actually believe this bull sh!t?

Political move putting this out on a Friday as well, it's not by accident.

Their data is collected from hunting reports but hunters are targeting legal bucks, not fawns or smaller dows which are more likely to be eaten by wolves.
