Good deal.  At that price I’m guessing it’s not the McMillan..?

I just grabbed a Hells 300 WSM off gunbroker for $800 brand new. It was a good Monday! I will post up some details once I get some rounds down range.

Watching a guy shoot one at the range chambered in .300 WSM. Is why I purchased a Browning, mild recoil with the brake and it was very accurate with factory ammo.

I have been  looking at these.
Think I'm going with x bolt hells canyon speed
Chambered in .300
Speed is lighter than the long range. Everything else looks comparable

I looked at the McMillan, to heavy. I don't plan on shooting past 500 and 400 will be pushing it. If I was a long range guy and wanted to shoot 1000 I would have sprung for the McMillan.

Buddy just shooting factory Nosler 180  Accubonds with 1/2 moa accuracy, leupold 4-24 turret scope.  The wsm seems to take well to factory loads - havent chrono-ed it but suspect the short fat case has more consistant sd with factory loads than others.  Big fan of high shoulder shots at extended range.  The 215’s with 300 wm would stretch out further tho.

I have bouncing all over with calibers. Taking advice here and buddies. Been back and forth on 7MM mag, 300 win mag, 300wsm and 338 win mag

Decided to order a 300 win mag in a Browning x bolt Hells Canyon Speed. I haven't hunted Elk or Bear with a rifle in over 35 years but this will be my new Elk and Bear gun. I have a tack driving 270 win for Deer, Sheep and Goats

Thanks all for the input

Let me know how you like the rifle and what rounds seem to shoot the best.  I am in the market of purchasing one
