While I don't use a shotgun specificly I do use combo guns both O/U and a Drilling to hunt coyotes in the thicker stuff.  I have great success with 1 oz of NP BB's in the 16ga Drilling and 1 1/4 oz of the same shot in the 12ga combos.  I don't try and stretch the distance though as I have the rifle barrel to reach out past 35 yards.

Here is a definitive discussion on shotgunning predators.

I do have a Rem 870 Express Turkey gun(for 30 yrs without a hiccup) with a custom predator choke in it if I have to hunt firearms restricted areas and rely on 3" HD BB's and Dead Coyote(I was in a rural store in WI and they had a bunch on the shelf for $20./bx and I stocked up).   There is some discussion going on that now that Federal is to bring out some TSS Turkey loads maybe they will make some TSS predator loads also.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

That's a great link AWS. It shows that most loads inside of duck hunting range will work.

What current production combos or Drillings are out there that you like? I'm guess from your past posts they are eastern European on mfg?

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Off the top of my head, Blaser, Merkel, Tikka/Valmet and CZ/BRNO(for the European market), I think Biakal is still building them but no US distributer.  With some of the firearms restrictions in Europe there are a number of older combos coming into the country, the more affordable($600-$1000) ones seem to be in 22 Savage Highpower(5.6x52R) and 222 Rem.    Going above that just about any chambering you want from 22 Hornet to 9.3x74.  Most are 12 and 16 gauge but there are a few 20's, I put a bid in on a  German Trade drilling 20x20x25-35 Win. this past summer but my pockets weren't near deep enough.

I had been trying to figure out why so many European drilling and combo guns used the 222 rem..  didn't dawn on me that several Euro countries have bans on weapons that use military calibers!

The cartridge was/is very popular for Roe deer, capercaille/auerhahn(a large turkey sized forest grouse), and foxes
