WHY ARE THERE NO INTERBONDS?

Gonna +3 on the accubonds ,bloodtrails like a river , If they make it more than ten feet plowing dirt.

Sometimes they don’t leave a blood trail.

I like the Accubond. A 140gr Accubond from a .270 win blew through a cow elk for me. She died.

Went to Sportsmans Warehouse yesterday for grins and they had no Interbonds in Bullets or Cartridges in any caliber. Asked a guy at the counter and he did not know why.

I have a few cabelas cards so I'm headed up there to grab 4 or 5 boxes of various to see what she likes

Having a beer last night with a couple of buddies. Both shoot lower end bullets and kill a lot of Elk

One shoots a 300 RUM at 3300 fps with180gr. Hornady Interlocks. He figures he has killed 12 to 15 bulls with that combo from 30 to 600 yards and they have performed well.

One shoots a 300 win mag and shoots factory 2960 fps Remington Coreloks 180gr. Hes killed bulls the last 3 years ranging from 80 to 250 yards and they have performed well

I would have thought the Interlocks at that velocity would have not performed well at close range but he has no issues at all

I shoot 130gr Interlocks out of my 270 for deer and they are great and I will definitely see how they shoot out of the new x bolt

Interlocks are a good bullet. I used them for a long time before making the switch to Interbonds. They definitely killed animals. I would say that of the bullets I recovered, it was 50/50 whether they were intact or not, with a couple that really came apart. Shots were from 20 yards to 250 yards. Theres no doubt they kill animals, it's more of a matter of personal preference as to if you want a bonded bullet, or not, and the associated difference in performance that come with those different designs.

I prefer a bonder bullet for Elk with decent BC. I most likely will be running Accubond or Scirocco

They suspended production during the ammo shortage and refuse to comment on the subject. I hound them to no end on facebook, Twitter, and by email; the only thing they have ever said was to use SST since they have the same ballistic coefficient. I've even started making comment of switching to Nosler Accubonds.

Interbond had better price and availability over Accubonds. I have been reloading hornady for years, I haven't hunted with a rifle for years so I haven't worried about it. I recently purchased a .300 win mag and would like bonded bullets for hunting moose and bear. The sst with the rapid controlled expansion look good for sheep, goat, and antelope. The two bullets are supposed to be matched ballistically, so in theory you should be able to interchange the bullets without changing scope zero if you keep the same grain weight. That's why I'm going to use SST and hope that one day they will return. If they don't I'll have to make that decision down the line to change brand to use bonded where I feel they are a better fit or use the SST which would likely still get the job done. Which also happens to be what hornady will suggest if you press them on the matter, they changed the Superformance line to SST bullets where they all used to be interbond.

I'm not a long range aficionado, but I can say that I felt the SST was slightly more accurate than the Interbond, at least in my rifle. It wasn't enough for me to worry about in normal hunting situations. Ultra long range it could make a difference.

I use bonded bullets in all my rifles. Since all they shoot differently, I shoot accubonds out of one, another shoots interbonds, and a few shoot Scirocco ll bonded bullets.  For me, it just depends on which bullet shoots the best groups since they all have similar performance.

They were suspended for a couple years production started back up late last year but still hard to find on shelves. Midway has some and mist other websites I've checked are now backorderable. Local stores here have nothing. I'm going by fall it's back to the way it was before they suspended production.
