I know! I can't stand them on a dedicated rifle but you swayed me towards them for testing wildcats due to the fact I can spin a barrel up in a couple of minutes instead of all the trips to the gunsmith swapping out and chambering barrels on my Rem700's.

10 years ago everybody complained about the barrel nut on Savages. Now everybody's doing it!

I once said no way in he11 would I ever own a gun with a fugly barrel nut but I'd be lying if I didn't admit I've considered doing one on a Remington 700. It'd sure make things a lot easier, that's for sure. exactly my thoughts. Trying to decide if I will stare at that nut everytime I pick up that Vanguard with a howage barrel.. Hehe.
