Fierce firearms?
« on: March 16, 2018, 08:45:32 PM »
Anyone have one? My dad just got his .338 WinMag with a Swaro 2.5-15x on it for a TBD Alaskan moose hunt. I've never heard of them but they guarantee 1/2" moa out of the box and supply you with load used. As good as they sound?

I almost bought one but ended up getting a wtby accumark 338/378. I liked the feel of the gun and seriously considered getting one. I've seen them in Cabelas and I think it was Sportsman's the other place I saw them. Company is out of Utah, I think the bolt, maybe most of the rifle, is made in Canada.

What on earth does this mean?

All Beyonce comments need to stop, I just about had to report the thread to the moderators :puke:

I bought one in 28 Nosler a bit over a year ago and really like it. Gun feels great and with the supplied load data it is a 1/2 MOA rifle or a little better. I have found it to be a bit finicky about other loads though and it took awhile to find another 1/2 MOA load with a different bullet. This is probably more a function of random chance then an indication of the rifles overall quality.  The fit and finish are good, trigger is good and crisp at 2.5 lbs, stock fits me well and the soft finish is very positive grip in wet conditions. The Triad action is a great action, smooth and tight. I have always liked the Sako actions and this one is very similar but with improvements.

What bullets was the load data for that came with the rifle?

180gr Berger VLD Hunting. I like Bergers, but wanted a bit stoute4 build for this gun. Tried 175 eldx with 0 luck and decided on the 175 ABLR.
