The problem we have out here is we have to many "Liberals"   :yeah:
And politics always seem to get in the way of wildlife management

Vermont has a socialist Senator and votes for democrats just like WA.  So I don't think that it's just we have to many liberals.  I think the better bet is Vermont does a better job of educating people about trapping.
