2018-2020 Hunting seasons and regulations
«

For anyone who would like to comment on the proposed hunting seasons for the next three years, the meeting is in Wenatchee next week. It's March 15-17 (Thursday thru Saturday) but it looks like Friday is the day to be there. I think the biggest topics of interest are the early archery elk seasons and the change to the type of ignition systems used in muzzleloaders, both of which will be Friday, the 16th.
The agenda is attached.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

The dumb drone rule just pisses me off.
It is illegal to operate a drone and hunt on the same day is overly restrictive and unnecessary. That specific clause was even mentioned at the meeting and completely glossed over. I can't stand overly restrictive laws for no reason.

After seeing and knowing how shanevg hunts and films, his use of a drone would be very different than the use in your scenario. The problem though is your scenario is how many would use drones and I would imagine is why there is the ban/rule.

I’m gentlemen and ladies but technology is going to screw our hunting up. I elk hunt the naneum. People on 4 wheelers and motorcycle are taking advantage of the rules and breaking them. I see it every year. I bike in and bust my ass and I pass 4 wheelers and motorcycle that break the rules every year. Now things flying in the sky. Come on. Sorry for my
but this is my big issue.!!!

Just my
on the whole drone deal(and this is in no way directed at shanevg, only at the idea of drones entering into hunting).....If you have to start using more and more technology then when does the line get crossed and we no longer call it "hunting", is it at the point that on foot scouting stops and we just get lazy, or is it when guys look at laptops to see what new game pictures have been loaded while they are sitting at their work desk or is it when we have little remote controlled(or computer controlled) crafts that film and take pictures of areas we don't feel like walking into. Yes I am an old school hunter, yes I hunt with a rifle with a scope, I use a gas powered truck to get to my hunting area, I have warm boots etc. etc. but when does it not be hunting anymore, but it becomes a video game, a rich mans game(because they can afford all the "stuff"), once again, not knocking anyone but if and when certain things are not allowed because they could or would be to much of an advantage to the hunter I'm not to sure I myself would ever disagree.

Today’s drones (with cameras) are no different than flying in a small bush plane to locate animals then landing and going after them. That has been illegal for a long time in most states so outlawing the drones is just a case of the laws catching up with technology.

I operate a drone for work so if I read this right i can’t hunt the same day ? I’d have to be stupid enough to admit that I suppose
