Blacktail Vid part 1 of 3
« on: April 05, 2018, 10:59:47 AM »
Here is the first part of some footage Ive edited up from the last couple years of blacktail hunting/ scouting.  Hoping to tell a bit of a story in the process of all the adventures of the past few years.  I will post part 2 and 3 up as soon as they are edited, probably be a few weeks.  enjoy

The high country does a pretty good job of weeding people out on its own though
1. a lot more work to get in and especially out once succesfull
2. much lower animal densities than down lower especially when it comes to deer
3. It can be a punishing place to hunt weather, bugs, cliffs, exposure, snow, heavier rain
4. takes a lot more time to learn because the animals are more spread out and there is no such thing as a morning or after work scouting trip.

I do it for the experience and the adventrure and enjoy all the hard work

You're completely right, I'm not suggesting you're doing anyone a disservice. People will still drool and dream a little  :chuckle:

I’ll never forgot the day that beast went down, nothing like daughters getting their share! I felt my eyes bulge a little when that heavy left side showed from behind a tree! I remember sitting down on that ridge behind a rock head down just waiting for the shot because I couldn’t handle the anticipation and didn’t want to risk winding it before Mandi had the chance to shoot

Nice video, careful on the mountain shots
