Looking at the pictures... although a loose grip is desired and the fingers sticking out looks stylish, I would find a way to keep them tucked in when shooting broadheads. Funny things happen, just a word of caution.

first of all it was taped off at 35 yards.  and yes im getting that good. :chuckle:
i also have a wrist strap for my hand and wrist so it wont slip off the grip, but thanks for the advice.
i have shot every day for 2 weeks and really getting pretty good.
i hit a 10 inch circle at 50 yards the other day too. although i know that i wont shoot anything over 30 for a few years.
:-)

He's not talking about having you lose your grip on the bow, he's talking about an arrow blowing up and slicing one of ur fingers off with a broadhead...   ;)  I'd tuck the fingers in a wee bit if you get the chance...  :dunno:

Way to go BWB!......................Glad to see you got a bow. Don't ever be afraid to ask for advice and always listen and learn from those that you KNOW have experience. If your buddies that have shot for one or two years are telling you what to do just ignore them and listen and jearn from those that have decades of experience.

As far as having your fingers sticking out I would say it is a sign that you are not relaxed while shooting. That bow hand should be like mush. You are torqueing the bow, Bad form. Close your fingers and keep them limp. Rely on your wrist sling and forget about squeezing your bow. It should rest in your hand without any pressure.

Keep the string off of your face. If your are mashing the string into the side of your face then it will kick off to the side and even if your bow is in tune you will never know because the arrow will always tear to the side. Back off the draw length until the only thing touching the string is the tip of your nose.

Well try that for starters. See how you do and keep posting your results. Oh, one other pointer is shoot the smallest target that you can see. If your pin will just cover a golf tee at 30 yards then that is what you should shoot at. I guarantee your groups will shrink.

Ive never shot in the house but I did use it for a backdrop.  At least until I put a arrow through the garage.  But its all good, I missed the Harley. :chuckle:

I shot a hole in the crapper in the travel trailer using my trailer for a backstop. :bdid:  :bash: :bash: ( now I use the shed for a backstop for backyard shooting) :chuckle: :chuckle: :lol4:

Good advice WapitiHunter, one other thing I'll point out BWB is your anchor point for your right hand.  See how its not in contact with any part of your body?  Look like you should maybe shorten the draw a bit and finder a better more stable anchor point.  The more consistent your form, the better your groups will be in all situations.  I myself have my anchor point right where the knuckle of my index finger is right at the bottom of my ear lobe...  thats just be though... find one that is comfortable and consistent.

I'm by NO means an expert archer, but have been told I have decent form... only been shooting for 4 years now so if someone wants to correct me please do so.
