I am not real interested in fur,  I just want them dead. They end up getting a few of my Uncles calves every year. If I go out and call, I usually take the 243.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

223 out of a Rem-700 VSSF 40gr nosler balistic tips and 60gr speer flat base varmit bullets. Rem-870 12ga 28" barrel, deaddog choke tube, 00 buckshot. I love the 223, its cheap to reload and very accurate. The 12ga just for shotgun only areas but it is awesome to watch a dog get rolled up with 00 buck.
God is great, Beer is good, people are crazy.

If I am trying to save the fur it is the .204, If I just want to let the air out of em and dont care it is the 22-250.
I've hunted almost everyday of my life, the rest have been wasted.

All Tikkas, T3 lite Stainless. All Leupold VXIII. 3.5X10X40 on one, 4.5X14X40 on 2. I love my 223, quiet, no recoil, very accurate. I consider 223 a 300 yard cartridge. 22-250 best all round yote gun there is, killed a bunch very accurate, purty flat to 400 yards or so gets a LOT of use. 243, puts them down!!!!! best contest gun, flat, hits hard, a little loud. When I want to kill yotes for SURE! bucks the wind. today I am at 20 since 8/1/08, I think I will do one more trip, 3-4 days, then quit til August.

22H & 218Bee for close and quiet.

222 Rem, 223Rem & 22-204 for fur.

6x45mm & 6mm-204 still working on a fur friendly load for these two but they do put them down right now.

25-204 & 250-3000 for country with big cats in it, pulled the barrel off my 22-250 to build the 250-3000.

243Win for open country but I never seem to find any stands that have big open spaces. Keep threatenning to sell this one.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I like my Browning A-bolt 22-250, shooting a 50 gr nosler ballistic tip around 3950 fps. As for the furs, sometimes they're usable and sometimes they're not worth a dime but the end result they're DRT.    :IBCOOL:

Carl, Does your .223 have the 1in 8" twist? I'm thinking about trading/selling my Encore for one of these.
