Too many guns.
« on: April 25, 2018, 10:18:04 PM »
Alright guys and gals, The 2018 Skagit Friends of NRA fundraising banquet is coming together nicely. We have great sponsors, a tasty dinner and lots of prizes to give away. By the time the night is over we will have found new homes for 50 guns. On top of that I have hunts to Africa, New Zealand and a fishing trip in South GA. I've got 80 items to shell out other than the guns. I've spread the guns out between 5$ and $100 games and raffles.

Most committees cut off ticket sales a week out from the banquet but we still have ~100 seats available and I want as many people as possible to join in the fun.

Live auction, silent auction, raffles and games... This thing is gonna be a hoot.

-No you don't have to be a member
-Yes you have to pass a background check to take your gun home
-Doors open at 5pm and dinner is at 6:30
-This Friday night 27 April at the Best Western Cotton Tree Conference Center in Mount Vernon
-Guns can be won for as cheap as $5
-None of the money goes to politicians or lawyers.
-Money raised goes to youth shooting programs, hunter safety, local ranges and programs like Eddie the eagle and YES.

This link contains an attachment with the raffle packages as well as online ticket purchases.

Great post, but you didn't mention it's Friday April 27th!  I'll try and make it!

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Sounds like fun.  I would go, but this is an expensive month for me with all the hunting tags, Weyerhaeuser permit and duck lease due.  I know I would spend money at it.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
