Chambers bay boat launch?
« on: May 06, 2018, 05:11:33 PM »
Looking at google earth, theres a boat launch at chamber bay marina. Any one here use it? is it accessible to the public?
I've been to the launch under the RR tracks in Steilacoom and I don't think I can launch there.

I'm not possitive but I believe that launch is for the dry storage units on site.  I do know that at low tide there's not much water in the channel for bigger boats to navigate through.

It’s private/for the storage unit, the marina used to be able to use it now and then but they had a falling out a few yrs back,, and as said at low tide it’s all on the mud, I would say narrows marina but I’ve heard they closed that one down (unsure if true)

Narrows is now private , and steilacoom there's only 4 parking spots dedicated to boat and trailer and if  the tides out your driving way  down the  beach by ferry pilings or if tides up hope your boat isn't to tall to hit train trussle

can't you use the solo point launch with a fort lewis range pass?
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

A friend of mine that stationed at JBLM told me you need a DOD sticker on your truck to use the solo point launch.
