Yellowstone
« on: May 28, 2018, 05:07:26 PM »
The wife and I are planning a short tip over to Yellowstone late in September. Thinking about staying in West Yellowstone and seeing the Lewis and Clark caverns on the way over. Do any of you have reccomendations of cool stuff to see or do? Places to stay? Eat? We would be willing to do some hiking also but no overnight stuff just 6-8 miles tops.

Thanks

... is this where I’m supposed to say I’m not looking for any honeyholes?

There was a fun steakhouse/tavern type joint we ate at a few times in between big sky and west. It was quite a few years ago so it’s hopefully it’s still good. And open I guess. Can’t remember the name.

We did a 2 week road trip last summer, a few highlights from our trip were as follows:

Ziplining in Coeur d'alene, ID.  Timberline Adventures
Virginia City, MT watched the play they were amazing, the town is very neat to walk around.
Gem Mtn Mine, got some saphires.  Cool experience.
Lewis and Clark Caverns, amazing tour!
Rafted down the Yellowstone river our of Gardner MT, entered the park through North entrance way less busy then west entrance.  Don't miss the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, far more worth the visit than Old Faithful.  Don't hold the buffalo's!  LOL

The oasis maybe. I tried googling a little earlier to see if i could figure it out. West side of the road a few miles south of big sky.
