Game dept counts brows and so do I. thats not the way it was when I was a kid but thats the way I do it now.

OK, I guess that answers it.  thanx.  We didn't used to count them when I was a kid, and I still don't most of the time, but it gets confusing.  Most of the younger guys count them.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Several discussions on here about that Path.  I count them with whitetails  but not with muledeer or blacktails.

2x2 whitie (not counting eye guards)
I just count the main tines and not eye guards or sticker points less than one inch.   I see no point in counting every little bump just to up the score.  But that's just me.

Yeah, I know.  I was just wondering about how to vote on the poll...

I usually say " ...was a 4X4 with eyeguards.." or something to that effect.

In Michigan you can't hunt till 14. Got my first when I was 16. Lots of snow so we had dressed to the hilt, Then the sun came out and it was warm. I went to the truck to get a snack and my bro was in the driver seat and the passenger seat was full of clothes and jackets so I told him I'd just take a short walk in the woods behind the truck. I went maybe 500 yds and two deer ran in front of me and started digging in the snow to eat. I watched them deer for at least 5 min. before I remembered I was hunting. I drew a doe tag that year so I picked the close one and was about to shoot when they both looked at me. I thought the one in the back was also a doe till he looked at me. I saw horns and shifted the 30-30 over to just behind his shoulder and let him have it. Then they both ran off. I waited for dad and my brothers to get there and showed them where the deer had been and we found the buck dead about 80 yds away. 3x3 whitetail. When I skinned him out I found that my bullet went in through both lungs and bounced of the ribs. Then it spun all the way to the hind quarter. I found it right up against the hide. I drilled a hole in it and have had it on my key ring since. The lead fell out years ago and the jagged edges have become rounded. If I remember I'll post some pics tommarrow when my wife is around with her camera.

Mine was a spike blacktail with my bow.  Hunted a few years with a rifle and never saw a legal deer.  I only duck hunted growing up, didn't really start big game hunting till I was an adult.
