That guys actions saved that pretty girl. Wonder how many people would actually do that ( jump in front of someone to take the attack). Wonder if he was ex military.

Seen that after I asked...thanks!!

Well I'm guessing the missing hiker is in the bear's belly.

The article said the bear was protecting the body of the missing hiker who was most likely killed by the same bear.

A brown bear killed a hiker in Eagle River. A man searching for him was mauled.

Definitely for my wife and son, probably for quite a few special people in my life, doubtful for a stranger unless it was a kid.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

No one carrying up there in AK? I don't go to Freddy's without a piece. I used to open carry to the mailbox when a family of Cambodian gangsters lived down the street. I'd absolutely be carrying in Grizzly territory.  :dunno:

I have family that live in Eagle River, praying for the family and hoping others are packing when they go hiking up there.
In God we trust, all others bring cash.

Do not say, Why were the old days better than these? For it is not wise to ask such questions.
