Looking for info on gusmith - R. L. Jamison Jr.
« on: June 20, 2018, 01:19:53 PM »
Greetings from the Lone Star State,

I recently became the owner of a fantastic 375 H&H magnum that was custom built by a now deceased gunsmith in Washington by the name of R. L. Jamison, Jr. This rifle shoots very well, and the quality is just top notch (even my local gunsmith agrees).

I'm posting here seeking any knowledge about the late Mr. Jamison. I could find very little about him online and in other various forums, so I've come here with the hopes that maybe I'll get lucky and find someone familiar with him and/or his work. According to the gentleman I bought from he was very well known in Washington.

I'll go ahead and add that this is not the author of similar "R. Jamison" name (the guy who loves short magnums). I thought it may have been, but after further research I confirmed that they are not the same person.

Thanks in advance everyone.

Howdy friend,

Ain’t much but found a link to a 1989 book reference about gunsmithing tips. Looks like it was a big collection of various articles, one of which was published by RL Jamison. Here is the link:
