Give it all you can, my 74 year old Gramps had a Observatory tag back in 2003. He got sick the first day so we were stuck road hunting. Got it done on the last afternoon with about an hour left of daylight on a nice little 6 point. One of the last hunts he ever went on. I still laugh to myself thinking about all the hours I made him listen to AC/DC driving all over hell. Hoping for the best for you guys.

if you're not getting on bulls give TY Brown a call. He has gotten handicapped hunters on bulls.  pm if any questions

No brainer if this is his last chance for a bull :twocents:

Been a crazy couple days, back in hospital because he has an infection in his blood.  The hospital and family has been trying to get a hold of us all day, so here we are. He’s getting poked and injected now.  Hopefully we can get back out, the bulls were going crazy the past 2 days. I think my dads sight is worse than he says because he missed a big 6 yesterday and a spike today.  The 6 was was sweet, also had a 5 point come in at the same time, 2 more steps and the 5 point would have been dead (I think).  His health is our biggest concern right now, hunting is taking a back seat.  I feel terrible for him since it took 18 years to draw this tag and he says it is his last year.  Hard to take, thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.

Definitely not for lack of effort! Sounds like you’ve spent a lot of time with your old man.

Very unfortunate! Get your pops feeling better! He’s alive and breathing. In my book it could be way worse!

Sorry to hear about your dad.  Keep him healthy and keep the memories of this hunt.  Best of luck to you both.

I second the idea of trying to get his points back or possibly trying to talk wdfw into giving him a raincheck for the same hunt next year due to health!!

He already hunted part of the season. Will almost guarantee they wont compensate him in any way.

Praying he gets well soon. Sounds like he was still able to have fun and feel the excitement of seeing a nice bull!
