My dad drew the little naches disabled tag!
« on: June 22, 2018, 11:42:32 AM »
He's 76 and has never killed a bull, the Brian's and I are totally in this hunt, we will get this done! I'm postponing my Wyoming elk hunt to be there, no way I want to miss my dads first bull kill, no way.  We aren't asking for info, just passing on the great news.  He will be using a cross bow, I really wanted him to use a gun but the man loves archery and I couldn't change his mind.  My cousin is very graciously buying him the best crossbow money can buy so my dad has the best chance, I'm blessed to have such great family and friends. Hunt starts sept 29- oct 7, should be off the hook! Good luck to all the lucky tag holders!

That is pretty awesome. I am hoping to be there when my old man gets his first archery kill. Its pretty much a bucket list item for me. Keep us posted on how it goes!

That's great on you, congrats to your dad.  I'm only a few hours away from there if you need help extracting one.

Great deal, I heard there are a bull or two in that unit on a good year.  Pictures are mandatory.

I'd offer to help but not sure I could handle that much John Denver!

That’s great!!
I hope he gets a dandy! My dad had this tag under the same scenario a couple years ago at the same age. I may have to start another thread to tell that story. My most favorite memory. Good luck too your Dad and soak it all up!!

Thank you, and thanks for all the comments.  Please post a story on your dad, we'd love to hear it! And Karl, I might be willing to switch the Pandora from John Denver to 80's rock for you!!

I helped a elderly couple fill their tag last year.  They had not seen an elk until I met them on yhe side of the road!  Several hours later I got the older lady on her bull..

Absolutely the best tag up there with the best dates!  Need any help I will gladly share some info and pack or whatever!!!

Congrats to him!!!
I kill elk and eat elk, when I'm not, I'm thinking about killing elk and eating elk.

It doesn't matter what you think...
