Grundy's Aladdin Moose Hunt
« on: June 25, 2018, 09:00:31 PM »
So I guess it's started. I'm not sure if it's really sank in yet. tried to buy my tag today and they wouldn't let me yet so I'm still nervous  :chuckle: :chuckle:. Anyway's I figured I would start this thread so I can have somewhere for scouting updates and of course recap my hunt. But most importantly I would like to see moose pictures! Preferably Aladdin moose but any Washington moose is welcome. Dead or alive! Only 3 months until it's go time!

Also any tips or info is more than welcome and vastly appreciated

Grundy.  I have been watching 3 bulls in the Aladdin for the past 4 years.  I will have no problem privately sharing the location.  Two are smaller and one would be a last few days bull that I can send a two year old pic of.  The third is a toad with triple brows.  I'll pm my phone number and we should talk in the next weeks or so.
It's a TIKKA thing..., you may not understand.

Now is the time to practice field judging Moose! Shiras ears are about 30inches tip to tip when spread out. If you can see an ear on each side. Ears are 8-10 inches long. Use those measurements to compare with overall width and paddle width.

Here is a pic for you to practice on. (I know and can measure exact measurements if you want after you guess)
