multi season tag
« on: March 10, 2009, 05:19:42 PM »
I was wondering if anyone know how the multi season tag system worked, If you drew a multi tag can you put in on the east side for draw hunts with a west side elk tag? and or put in for both sides?  thanks :)

If you draw a multi-season elk tag: the tag is good for both eastern or western washington, so you should be able to apply for either side of the state when it comes to special permits.

You can apply for Eastern and Western, Modern, Muzzleloader, and Archery tags. You still only have 4 choices though.

Not to hijack this but I heard from someone in the dept. that only 2 choices would be allowed this year.  Anyone else heard that?

The way I understand it is we get 4 picks spread over archery, muzzleloader and modern.

You can put in for east side and west side hunts with a multi-Elk tag. I can only hope it is true about 2 choices. If so, it's about time.

You would think one who pays $164 should get four picks to draw with each weapon.
You can't hunt during muzzleloader with a bow either :dunno: but you can hunt with a bow during modern :dunno:
