Microdrives or Flash?
« on: March 16, 2009, 03:01:05 AM »
Do they make high capacity microdrives?  I thought I saw mention of a 1 Terabyte drive but I can't find anything larger than 8Gig.   Thanks!

..and while we're at it....

What flash drive would anyone care to recommend in the 8 or 16 size.   I purchased a sandisk extreme iii - with the 30MB transfer rate logo.   Would like to find a good option to purchase from Amazon is possible.   (Canon 50d)

Thanks again

phool told me costco has 1 terabyte hard drives for around $110  I'm sure they will be on later a fill us in.  I need to get some storage also but haven't been taking too many pics due to the weather (RAIN) so I'm not in a hurry.

You guys are barking up the wrong tree.  He is talking about the flash drives you put in your camera.  They don't make microdrives that big anymore grizzle.  They are old technology and slow.  Just get a flash card.  I don't buy anything expensive like a Sandisk but you can.  I just buy whatever is on sale at Frys in Renton.  I think the last brand I got was Ridata.  I don't need the speed so I don't buy it but I do like to get a 133x card at least...  Transcend is another brand that is really cheap online.
