Scotch Creek Wildlife Area Charles and Mary Eder Unit
« on: July 23, 2018, 01:32:00 PM »
I drew the east okanogan rifle buck tag, whitetail nov. 1-20th. I have some knowledge of the unit but any tips for the area would be awesome! am curious of this wildlife area that I can apply for. The letter came in the mail today from WDF&G stating I can apply for one of the 5 access permits to this area for the permit season. I see they offer other permits for the general seasons as well
Has anybody ever drawn and hunted this area? Any input would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

Buddy took a nice buck in there a few years ago.  The best area is off limits even with drawing the tag, but good deer can be found without much effort.

Take a drive and check the area out around sunset.  You'll see.

I just went to Concunolly(however it's spelled) this weekend, saw a lot of deer. I also noticed, all on the northside of the road is tied up by Hj ranch, and another place, couldn't make out the name. A lot of deer though. Saw 5 bucks, nothing too big, and a ton of does and fawns.
Is it waterfowl season yet..............

Our cabin was in the Scotch Creek Wildlife area until the fires wiped it off the face of the earth. Everybody and their brother hunts that area.
The Eder Unit is all walk in.
Here's some advice, hunt between highway 97 and west up in the rocky cliffs you can see from the highway......
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
