Anyone else using the Nikon ED50?
« on: August 27, 2018, 12:52:10 PM »
Picked up @shallowforks old Nikon ED50 a couple weeks ago, and dang is this thing sweet.  I haven't had the chance to get out and do any proper scouting, but I happen to live in sight of prime sheep country so I have gotten to play a bit.  I took the scope out to get my mind off work for a few minutes, and spotted a group of sheep in about 60 seconds.  Put a pin on the map where they were standing, and surprised myself that it was a clean 5 miles from me to them.

Not half bad for a 1lb scope!  Can't wait to get boots on the ground for the high buck.
"master" hunter - still a noob.

That's been the 50nm gold standard for many years.

Never owned one but I've used one and I think they are a very impressive little spotter.  IMO, one of if not, the best compact spotters you can get.
