So, if a bear hunter wants to hunt bear today (Nov2) in a unit that is open to modern firearm elk, he/she has to wear blaze orange/pink? Is this correct?

TIA.

When I am hunting elk in 3911 during the master hunter season I am looking for a shot with a good solid back stop, now if there is an archery guy, muzzy guy or a bear hunter creeping through the creek bottom after something I am not going to see them stalking slowly in camouflage.  If they are in blaze orange it is going to catch my eye and I will pass on the shot.  I am sorry but my 50 year old eyes just can't pick up a bear hunter in camouflage 60 yards or more beyond an elk that is 150-200 yards away from me.  Maybe bear hunters can pick up a hunter in camo 60 yards away from a bear that they are taking a 200 yard shot at.  I doubt most can and I think an argument could be made that hunter orange should be required for all seasons.  I don't think that argument needs to be made. As a hunter ed instructor I am not willing to say that removing the hunter orange requirement from the master hunter areas is a good idea.  I think it makes those areas safer for everyone.

I have no problem wearing orange (or pink for those who prefer) during big game modern firearm seasons. I don't believe it has much if any effect on big game. I've had deer and elk walk within touching distance while wearing orange.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

I don't wear orange because the regs say to.  I've seen some pretty crazy stuff and unless I'm in some type of unique situation I wear more than is required by any state.
