My 12 year old daughter's first deer, taken 9:30 Sunday morning (October 14) on public land in S.E. Washington. The shot was 120 yards with her Savage Axis in 7mm-08, 120 grain Barnes ttsx bullets.

Awesome grats to her and you.

I killed a 3 pt meat buck.  Would have liked to hold out of something bigger or older, but I had trail cams hung all summer and never got a single mature deer on one.  All young 2 and 3 pts.  I think we may have an age-class gap out there due to the winter of '16 (?).
Grats any hows  good eats all the same

Little Pathfinder scored on opening morning.  Stalked and killed at 255 yards.  Happy kid, proud dad.
Grats to JR as well.

KP- Skagit:  Shooting that first legal buck you see see is working out pretty well for you.  I'm guessing there's some selective vision involved too.   Nice 5 point!

Nice Buck KP-Skagit!

If that crab-claw point little longer would have 6 x 4.
Nice!

Nice one KP. I always do the same. Boy that area is turning into a wasteland. You and I did ok but I personally didn't see many in trucks or at the butcher and didn't see any when we tried to find one for my father in law. Good job!

Nice bucks all! ….and does.  :)

Anyone else notice the amount of deer being taken in lowlands/sage/fields?  Seems every pic is like that this year.  :dunno:
