Season has been open since the 1st for some people but the guys i know that started on the 1st have been close but nothing yet0

Goal was to shoot the first legal elk that crossed my path. Hiked in solo 3 miles before light into a new area. At 7am this cow came feeding her way into a meadow at 25yds. She ran 40 yds and piled up. Boned her out and got her all packed out by 7pm. First time tagging out opening morning! Gonna be some good eating. Ill try to post a pic later.
