Sure would of like to see the show but i missed out, i disagree with some of the guys on here saying leave those shots at the range, if your capable of being able to hit the animal in the present conditions you should take it, those conditions being the weather and also if there is a chance that you could get closer to the animal without spooking it you should try and do so.
I've seen alot of guys on hunting shows sitting in blinds or in stands that are infront of managed fields watching bucks move in and out all day then take there pick. In my opinion that is definately not hunting. Most of the shots they take are within 150 yds and require little or no skill at all! If a guy can shoot a nice buck from 450 yds on a show why not? After all it is for TV? I'd rather watch a guy shoot 600 yds at a nice buck and miss every single time then watch two guys in a blind trying to decide whether the buck they're looking at is bigger than the one they saw acouple hours before.
