Any Black Bear activity in Gifford National Forest.
« on: September 20, 2018, 12:37:39 PM »
Good afternoon everyone, not trying to dig for honey holes, but I am planing a bear hunting trip down into the Gifford national forest and was hopping to gain some wisdom from the community. Like if there are any down there, too many hunters, terrain, and if possible a general location. Think we are going to be going into the portion of the forest west of Elbe. Any advice will be appreciated
A skunked hunt is better than a day at work

Lotsa bear but needle in a haystack once berries are gone since no dogs and no bait.  Need a day its light drizzle or misty out. Find big cut areas to glass.   If its warm and sunny forget it.
