This is a new feeling for me, I didn't think I'd ever have to defend myself in the view of the public when it comes to a questioning of my ethics. I consider myself a respectful individual when it comes to the land, the wildlife and the other hunters that occupy the same grounds that I hunt, however this is not a representation of that. What I did was in fact disrespectful to the person who put in the time to set those cameras. When I hiked in a few days before season I went to check a camera I had set and the card has been stolen out of it. That's an awful feeling but somehow that experience caused me to be less considerate as a hunter. My rational was I won't be hurting anything if I leave it the way I found it but in fact I shouldn't have touched it all. I'm going to be honest, until I was put on blast checking these cameras wasn't even in my head as something I felt guilty for. It has been a reality check for me, showing me what I did was wrong. I'm going to learn from this. I want to apologize to IBspoiled for my actions, it won't happen to anyone else. I hope those who have met me know from that experience that I'm a decent guy, and don't wish ill will on anyone else in the woods. It was my decision not that of the others in the picture.

I only see the *censored* guys standing in front of a game cam. That is substantially different from the green face-painted person right in the face of another cam from another location. I think the OP needs to post a pic of the *censored* guys ACTUALLY checking his game cam.

If that picture (just like the first green guy one the OP posted) doesn't exist, it is unfair inference and speculation. If you have the pic's or vids of them doing it, post it publicly. Otherwise, it's just guys on public land in front of your game cam on public land and an internet post.

I did what I was accused of.

I also would like to say that I'm no longer a part of *censored* as I left the group earlier this year to pursue personal projects. So don't associate them with my actions.

Well, I do not know you, but you owned up to it, you said you learned from it. And you apologized, in a public forum.

I respect that.

Well you owned up to it.. You even did it publicly. Not an easy thing to do. But you did it. Lesson learned.

Thanks for coming on and admitting it.  I'm sorry about your sd card as well.  I've never had issues in this area until this year and had multiple cams messed with, it is very frustrating.  One of my cards wouldn't read and the wife had to figure out how to get into it backways so just know that while you think it isn't hurting anything, it can mess up the formats.  I've never touched another camera or anyone elses stuff in the woods, and that's just good ethics to me.

Can't become a better hunter if I don't learn from my mistakes. Your ethics make sense and I'll live by them going forward.

Setting the record straight, I believe these are the Pacific North Wild guys according to the Facebook.  I don’t see any of them in the pics.

Villajac29, my first impression is to chew you out for all the times I've had my cameras messed with, it's a frustration only those messed with feel. I really want to cuss you out because someone else has finally been caught when it's so hard to catch them!!  :bash:   BUT, damn if you didn't get on here and man up. I sure hope you are  being honest in your words that you'll never do this again, it took a lot of guts to admit it all, most wouldn't do that. Thank you, I hope this turns out positive, I can only hope at least one other person who messes with other people's cameras sees this and decides it's better to leave it alone.  Again, thank you for stepping up and taking it.
