Got a surprise while Yote hunting today
« on: March 18, 2009, 04:23:33 PM »
Ok, it was more of the missed phone call I had when I got back into my car and was driving away. This is long winded but worth the read.  I returned the missed call only to get someone at County Sherraff dispatch I'm thinking ok, hay possible job interview  :IBCOOL: (looking to make career change). After 3 hold ons and the third person she tells me some county worker saw my car parked with no one in it (I was out Yote hunting) and reported it as possibly stolen and abandoned. She asks if I know where my car is and I said, yes, I'm driving in it. Well then maybe the plates were stolen are they on the car (had to stop car and check) Yep, there on the car! She said they called the number on fill and it was my parents number and my Dad gave then my cell. Oh, crap! While talking to the nice sheriff lady my dad calls through.

Well I call him back and he freaked out when he got the call and gave them my cell # and my wife's # and then my dad calls a friend who lives in the area to go look for me as he himself was preparing for a man hunt. I'm thinking I'm screwed as my wife thinks I'm at work (I'm my own boss) and they may have called her  :yike:. Well, I got my dad calmed down and he called off the search posse and I texted my wife who was in a meeting and told her to call me before she listens to any voice mails (trying to cover my @$$). Nope, no call from the sheriffs  ;D .

So not only did I get a little sun burn while I was out hunting... I mean working... I didn't see a yote (heard 3 but don't have a bark call), I have to explain to the misses my story of the stolen car.
God Bless,
Scott

Tell her that since you are trying to get employment with the SO that you wanted to get your name known there so you tested them by parking your car where it may look like it was stolen and abandoned.  Tell her happily that it seemed to work :)  Worth a try

Tell the truth- you lent me your car for the afternoon while you were hard at work on the computer, which I might add crashed and you lost all the days activities. :chuckle:
This closet is taken- go find your own
