Put a roast in the crockpot with a couple bottles of Guinness. Very tasty.

All I know is that the one I shot 2 years ago tasted like @$$. I threw a steak on the grill at my superbowl party and 4 of us each had a couple of bites. All hunters, all eat plenty of wild game, all several beers into the game... all agreed that the rest of that bear should go into a jerky brine... who knows, maybe I shot her after she had been gorging on a rotten elk for a week.

so, I brined her up, jerked her out, and munched happily on her for the rest of the year. fed her to a couple of guys I know that refuse to eat bear. After 3 or 4 pieces I told them it was bear and they couldn't believe it. I plan to shoot another one this year, so I will experiment more with different ways to cook them.
