4 days and a wake up!

I think this is the slowest year yet here when it comes to big game being taken pics.

4 days and a wake up for us modern guys. It going to be a great  season , serious Mulies all over Central WA!

I would agree with that for sure. Just as many animals getting taken I’m sure, just not a lot of sharing on here.

First time ever hunting mullies and I'm like a kid before X-mas morning!! I'm from the east coast so everything is 60 yards and under, there is no such thing as spot and stock so this is very exciting for me. I just hope I don't get out there in the morning and see more pumpkins then deer.

If I hike in behind a gate how far do I need to go to get away from the crowd a bit? I know they say in general that most hunters don't go over a mile deer hunting but I some how feel like that's not the case here. I plan on going in and sitting before sunrise to a spot I scouted which is a good hill side to glass and sitting there all day till it's dark. If I get a lot of people I plan to have my camp on my back and hiking in deeper.

Thats the only way to hunt deer in the Northeast where I'm from. I'm just hoping to get there fri night and have the spot I was planning on camping. Granted I have back up plans but still it would be nice to have the area I have scouted out. First year is always the toughest but I look forward to the challenge. If I can hunt small parcels of 800 acres with dog walkers, bikers and hunters everywhere and see deers I can find a way to make it happen with 10X+ the land and 10X the deer.
