Sheesh!  I gotta get a BLR 243!

I normally pick between a Savage 7mm-08, Marlin 30-30, or Savage 220 slug gun.  This year, the CVA Acura 50 caliber muzzleloader got it done.

my .250 savage goes along most of the time.  light and trim, and points like a shotgun.  perfect blacktail rifle.

if it's nasty outside, i take the stainless 30-06, not as much fun to carry or shoot, but i can hose it off at the end of the day if need be.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

A 1950 Remington 721 in .270 win.  Has killed many deer in Idaho in its 68 year life and now is ready for a blacktail.
