Benchmark barrels

Looking for a little input.  Going to send my Rem 700 in 7mag to Benchmark.  Looks like they will blueprint the action, and barrel install for about $850.  I will have them also install a brake.  Any other work I should have them do?  Probably have the barrel fluted, not sure if they offer cerakote, but guessing they do not.  Looking for input on length and contour.  Its a hunting rifle so barrel so Im thinking 24-27 inch.  Most of my hunting is either mountain bike, or driving and glassing ridge to ridge.  Contour I know little about but they offer several different options so input there is appreciated if you know a little about their work. Which should I chose three or five groove, and a 1-9 twist?

Lastly,

Cerakote locations with decent turnaround
Decent stock to throw it into in the $500-$800 range

I recently talked to my old gunsmith that went under with the new regulations but he sent stuff to these guys. They are in Bremmerton, WA and come highly recommended from him.

If it doesn't already have one, get a good trigger like a Timney put on it.

My 300 win has a 9 twist #5 spiral flutedinished at 28.5 inches.
For a 7 mag I would say 26+ on barrel length.

I would be concerned with what chamber dimensions and the length of the throat.

Let them know what bullets you are thinking of wanting to use and ask their input on chamber specs, they know what works well.

mine is 28.5 before the brake. 30 ish including the brake
You definitely don’t need that much but I wouldn’t personally go shorter than 26 before the brake.

I think a fluted #4 at 26" is ideal for a pack around hunting rifle. I wouldn't want to go any heavier or longer.

Manners elite hunter or mcmillan edge in whatever configuration you prefer. (order asap)

Just the standard trigger tech is pretty tough trigger to beat for a hunting rifle.

I was looking at the old reliable Timney 510 which is only about 150 bones.  I will do a little look at trigger tech.

X2 on Mad Custom Coatings in Bremerton. They do excellent work. Had them do my 300 Weatherby and it turned out great.

What was the turn around time?  A friend used them and seemed that it was longer than they quoted by a few weeks.  Not a huge deal.
