121 huckleberry
« on: October 28, 2018, 04:44:32 PM »
Anyone have any luck there yet?

Was most of the day today, in the pea soup fog and rain this morning.  Found out my waterproof boots aren't very waterproof.  Lots and lots of sign, a lot of it old but did run across some fresh track from last night.  Saw some whitetail bucks, a couple muley bucks and even a small moose, but no eyes on the elk yet.

I had the same luck as you yesterday, soggy boots and nothing spotted. Saturday, we put in a pretty rugged 4.5 mile hike, got on 3 bulls at 850 yards, but couldnt close the distance. If you are in shape and willing to put in some miles, there is a few good spots out there. I will be hitting it again this coming weekend hopefully. PM me for detailed info if you want.

Put in over 20 miles hiking in 113 Selkirk, about the same; got rained on, hailed on, and not a lot of movement in the woods. Saw one cow elk, then nada.
