Went bumming around the last couple of days in 121. Whitetails around didn't seem to be in the heavy rut mode yet and all seemed to be extremely skittish, running off at the first sighting of a rig. Thinking maybe the doe permits maybe had something to do with the wild behavior. Saw a few lone bucks and several bunches of does with no bucks tailing them. Recent rains have most side roadsin pretty rough shape but supposed to be a little better weather this week so maybe they'll dry out a bit. Lot of small mule deer bucks around, so be careful what you shoot at.
