Fight! Fight!
« on: November 10, 2018, 08:21:57 PM »
This battle must have been epic, wish I coulda seen it. Probably covered around 35X15 yards total, up/down, and on both sides of this gated road. From the sign, looks like there was some mutual pushing/shoving going on with one of the boys being body slammed at one point. With all the markings, I believe the duration of this contest was quite long. Figured you Blacktail (or deer in general) buffs would enjoy the pic  ;)

You and I are both old enough to remember those words: "Fight, fight!!"  Two boys, junior or senior high, full of spit and spite, decide to take it outside and settle it.  The whole student body would turn out.  Eventually the gym teacher would come and break it up (why was it always the gym teacher?).  No classroom activity could do that, you could gather 200 to 300 kids with just those words.

And that is exactly what the BT boys just did.  I wonder if any girls were around to watch?

Cool pic. Years ago I had the Desert archery tag and came across a place in the sand that 2 bucks had gone at it the night before. It must have been the size of a basketball quart. You probably couldn't have turned as much dirt as they did using a plow.

I saw the buck that won this fight.   He was unbelievable.  I was sure he killed the other buck.  We had to stop tracking him (wife was pregnant) and had enough.  I always figured I missed finding a giant deadhead.
