Saw my first Washington antelope
« on: November 12, 2018, 04:51:43 PM »
Saw my first antelope today dead on the side of the road. Just north of Orondo on the shoulder of north bound 97. I would have never thought would be the place to see my first. Looked to be a healthy doe. Saw a dead young cougar just a few miles further up the road too. Kind of an odd drive today. Anyone seen antelope in that area?

I haven’t seen antelopes in that area buutttt, as we were scouting around my dads property in the Bridgeport area we came across a doe and her two fawns, pretty neat to see them here in WA

DANG DUDE!   That is indeed a unique Roadkill trip.   Around Bridgeport yes, Orondo no for Antelope.   That sucks!

Unfortunate...that's got to be one that the Colville tribe released.

Swam the Columbia though.   That’d be interesting to see.

It was nuts, I asked my brother if he saw it? He said yes, what kind of deer has a white butt like that, I said none, just wanted to validate what I saw. I do look forward to seeing many more, but not like that!

Wow, came through yesterday morning and didn’t see it. I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled in that area from now on, would love to see them wandering around in there.

Yeah, I just assumed it was a fawn from it's size but I haven't seen an antelope up close since I was about 10. It could be a full grown doe for all I know.
