Looking for private land for daughter.
« on: March 21, 2009, 09:31:39 AM »
Would like to take my daughter on a private land turkey hunt on the east side. Any body got some good ground a youth hunter can bag her first bird?? I've got some decent ground to hunt but it's hit and miss early in the season. Kind of looking for a "high odds" hunt for a youth.

Really don't have any time to scout so "check this place" or "check that place" is not really what I'm looking for here.

Would be happy to take you on a fall/winter coyote hunt on private land. If the hatch is good this fall we could chase roosters. If you drew a Huckleberry spring bear permit I can put you on one for sure.

Thanks RAS

She's 11, will be 12 in April. She got her deer last fall and is itching to bag a turkey. Like I said, I've got some spots but I'm worried they'll be snowed in.

Gutpile, I can't help you this year because I already have a youth hunter, but this is his last year. Next year I can take your daughter out on a hunt :dunno:. Is fruitland to far?

OK, so lets plan on next year or even the fall hunt. Sorry I can't take her out this spring.

No problem at all. If the weather stays warm we should be OK but I'm a bit nervous since I can't get up to scout.  :bash:
