Photo Of Month (REMINDER)
« on: March 03, 2009, 11:52:25 AM »
Alright folks its become painfully obvious that those of you posting pics in the Photo Of The Month Contests don't read the posts, rather you just upload your pics. There are a load of great pics this month so far, unfortunatly several of them will not be considered because of their size.

POM pics must be no larger than 800X600 to be considered for the contest. If you are only posting pics for everyones enjoyment then by all means disregard this thread, but if you have hopes of winning the contest these pics must be reduced in size.

If you are having problems reducing them then there are several people on the site that are more than happy to help, myself being one of them. For me you can simply shoot the pic over to my email at huntnphool@aol.com In the subject field enter in what you would like done with the photo eg. "Resize Please" Adjust Color" Exposure" etc. I will get to it, in most cases, the same day and shoot it back to you.

Good luck folks, we are all enjoying the pics so far.

Is there a topic somewhere on the site that explains in laymans terms how to resize pics to the required 800 X 600 size?

Rob,
I put 2 different size pictures in. Is the larger one too big? Maybe you could use those as examples?? I just download from photobucket and stick them in here.

When you download a photo to photo bucket it ask's you what size? Select 800x600 and photo bucket resizes them for you. Then just copy and paste the URL in your post.

Check this this list of names: Pathfinder101, Slayock, RightPlace-RightTime, ThePascoKid, BC Chaser, One Horn, TurkeySlayer, WoodyWSU, Grizzle, Skyvalhunter and BlkbearKlr

If you are on this list you have at least one picture in the POM contest that needs to be resized, some of you have two. Again, if you don't care about the contest then just leave them.

I guess I read this post to late as I am one of the many who didn't resize my pics, sorry. One of mine is fine but the one that is almost at the bottom of page 8 is too big and I don't know how to fix it now. If you can great and thanks ,will do better next time.nwhunter
