Thank you.  Id like to say it was well earned, but it was a lot of luck.  My daughter and I were going down the road.  We came around the corner and there he was tight on a doe.   She held so I got out and filmed while Daisy snapped a few from the truck.  All of a sudden a guy in a Toyota pick up shows up.  Slams on the brakes, bails out to shoot him over the hood of his truck.  Like dude, we are standing here.  The doe bolts as does the buck.  We go past the guy and the buck stopped for a last look and this was the photo I got.  I got one more of him through the trees.  The doe bailed and he followed.  The guy in the toyota whipped around and came pulling up to try again I guess. LOL  Public land sure.   Shooting across the hood of your car in the road at a deer someone else is on.....priceless.

Seems to be a trend this year.

Wondering....Do you wear Orange when you shoot during open seasons?

I am sorry to hear of this incident.  However, these types of experiences must provide an excellent education for your child, to see what is the proper way to live as an adult.  Now that is truly priceless.

By the way, I have felt this for a long time, you really do great things for this community.  You deserve some type of award.

Should have snapped a picture of the clown looking to shoot over his hood also
Nice picture I would say he's well insulated

It is frosty indeed.  Every day im feeling like that buck looks.  Lots of fun.  Water freezing, food freezing, baby wipes freezing.  Gotta love the late season.  Snow on the way in a couple days too.  Hope to get my big boy sooner rather than later, moving around predator hunting will keep me a lot warmer than sitting in a treestand.
