Just wanted to say THANK YOU to Arteman (I'm guessing that who it is...) and Edministerquality (for letting me hijack his thread a few times...) as my son got his cow on Friday, Nov. 30th...last day of the season! We saw 27 bulls that morning...yes, 27!!!! and still hunted down a ridge that Artemen (again, guessing as someone said his daughter got a bull...and we ran into a guy this fall who was scouting for his daughters bull tag, and I found him on FB and he told us of some cows he saw earlier in the week that led us to the ridge we hunted). Sneaking down the ridge, going slow in the fog with visibility ranging from 50 ft to 100 yards we snuck up on a cow feeding and never knew we were there. My son had a 6 inch window through the Alders to the elks vitals and dropped her!
Best part was he is 13 and just weighed in for wresting at 110 pounds...he packed out both front shoulders (2 trips) and his pack was nearly 50 pounds each time. Though it was only about a 1/4 mile from the truck he packed out the heavy pack without worry and pushed himself all on his own. First elk!

PS. I've had a few people over the years (not just on here but in the woods) get mad at me for "helping" others by providing info...for those that get upset, all I can say is "get over it!"....this is why we hunt, and I share info where/when I can! thank you again Hunt WA and those members who helped gives us info that led to his success! I owe ya!
