521k on my Excursion and still drive it almost every day.

You have 521,000  miles on your Excursion? Care to elaborate how you achieved that?

I do, drive it almost daily. Not much to any story, just dive it everywhere. :dunno:

7.3 I imagine?

Correct

Nice. I’ve been looking at getting one for the wife. I have a 6.0 f350 but I know the 7.3 was a better motor. Good 7.3 excursions are tough to find for a reasonable price

I wish we never got rid of our 01' Excursion, it was a bus, drove nice, comfortable and got 17-20 mpg

G

Wow that’s great mileage. My wife’s small suv gets less than that

Still get 18 daily driving, not bad for a 8000# vehicle.

If you look at the cost and availability of what is out there now. Running an excursion  forever is a good idea. My brother is ordering up a fully loaded 7.3 with everything bolted on for about 6k. Its wise to do anything to avoid those deisel emission control crap.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Yeah I think I’m gonna have to get one this spring when our next little one comes. That extra room would be great along with all the other bonuses
